Meet Our Staff

John Luciano or better known as John ‘Lucky’ Luciano is the General Manager of Street Volkswagen. He prefers the title, “Social Director” though. John started his career in the automotive industry in 1976 as a lot boy and working his way up and has now sat in every seat of a dealership which gives him a whole different appreciation and understanding of his employees. John and his wife, Kat moved to Amarillo in 2013 and now call Amarillo home. They both love the community and are very active throughout the town. John has four kids. John loves the Volkswagen brand and considers himself very honored to have the job he has.

Shane Giese is the New Car Sales Manager at Street Volkswagen. He has been a member of the Street Auto Group since April of 2015. Shane has worked in the automotive industry for over 15 years. After graduating from University of North Texas, Shane worked as an accountant for many years. He has lived all over Texas including Denton, Dallas, Austin and Amarillo. He loves the automotive industry because it is so dynamic and always changing. When Shane isn’t at work he enjoys spending time with his two sons, mountain biking, being outdoors and listening to Justin Bieber.

Kyle Elder is the Pre-Owned Manager. He has been a part of the Street family since January 2015 and has been in the automotive industry since 2012. Originally from East Texas, Kyle has spent a lot of time traveling due to work and his time in the Army. When not working, he enjoys spending time with friends, swimming, trying new foods, attending local events and being outdoors. He aspires to travel more in the future.

Daniel Gregg is the Inventory Manager at Street Volkswagen. Dan has been a member of the Street Auto Group since 2013 and has been in the automotive industry for over a decade. Some of his hobbies include hunting and traveling. Dan’s favorite travel destination is Hawaii. However, his absolute favorite thing to do is to spend time with his wife, three kids, and his grandson.

David Meraz graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelors in Mass Communication. His emphasis of study was in advertising and public relations while at WT. He has been the Media Relations Manager at Street Volkswagen of Amarillo since 2013, but has worked for the Street Auto Group since 2012. While he is not working, David enjoys traveling to new places. Some of his favorite getaways are in Mexico, Spain and anywhere northeast in the U.S. David loves to run and is often seen throughout the community volunteering at different organizations such as the Maverick’s Boys and Girls Club or United Way. David was named the 2015 United Way of Amarillo & Canyon Loaned Executive of the Year. He serves as the 2016-2017 President of the West Texas A&M University Communication Alumni Network. He was recently awarded the "Hispanic Man of the Year," by the Amarillo Hispanic Chamber of Commerce & Los Barrios de Amarillo, "Top 20 Under 40 Young Professionals Award," by the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce and "WT Rising Star Award,” by WTAMU’s Department of Communication.

Jason Heronemus is the Street Volkswagen Service BDC Manager. He has a passion for Volkswagen, as he has owned several Volkswagen models prior to joining the Street VW team in 2016. He loves meeting new people and his hobbies include cooking, bowling and motorcycle riding. Jason has a big heart for his community and can often be seen throughout the community volunteering. Jason loves his two dogs and loves to spoil them.

Sindy Monasmith is Street Volkswagen’s Customer Care Manager and had been at Street since July 2015. She moved here in May of 2010 with her husband of 28 years from Salina, Ks. When she’s not organizing events and taking care of our customer’s needs here at Street Volkswagen she is spending time with her Granddaughter, catching a few quarters of her favorite football team (Chiefs), taking professional portraits of family and friends and getting all the little things ready for her husband to take their roadster to the local dragstrip.

Greg Byler has been the Service Manager at Street Volkswagen since the opening in 2013, but has worked for the Street Auto Group since 2007. He has seen a lot of strange things while working in the automotive industry, including pulling many cats out of the engine compartment of different cars. When Greg isn’t at work, he spends the majority of his time with his wife and three kids. His favorite movies are the Fast and Furious series. Fun fact about Greg: he is a huge Justin Timberlake and Alicia Keys fan!

David Ortiz is a Volkswagen Product Specialist and has been at Street Volkswagen since September 2013. He has been working in the automotive industry since 2000. David loves meeting new people and creating lasting relationships. He was born in Lubbock, but was raised here in Amarillo. David enjoys spending time with his wonderful sons, Israel and Michael and loves taking trips and camping out with his family.

I have three objectives when working with you: 1.) to meet or exceed your automotive needs (2.) to work hard and to work honestly - I have no interest in trying to make you pay more than a vehicle is worth, nor do I have any interest in selling you something that won't work for you; (3.) to earn your loyalty and build a relationship for life. Jerry Ripley is a Volkswagen Product Specialist at Street Volkswagen. He has been with the company since February of 2016. Prior to working at Street Volkswagen, Jerry owned his own car dealership in Hereford, Texas for the last 12 years. He has worked in the automotive industry since 1992. He loves to connect with customers and making sure they are satisfied. Jerry was born in Nova Scotia Canada and he became a citizen of the United States and had a ceremony for Texas Citizenship as well. When Jerry isn’t at work he enjoys playing golf, snooker, but prefers to spend the time with his wife and daughter, Jessica. He has a sidekick dog named Jazz, he’s a lab.

Merlie Moore is a Parts Adviser and has been working for the company since 2016. She has been in the automotive and heavy duty parts industry since 1979. She was born and raised in Pampa, Texas. She worked in Alaska in the oil and gas industry in vehicle maintenance and management for 10 years prior to joining the Street VW team. She loves to travel and visit wineries.

Josh Welch is the Assistant Service Manager at Street Volkswagen where he has been working since September of 2015. Josh first started working for the Street Auto Group in 2008 at Street Toyota where he worked in the Service Department as an advisor. Josh loves being in the outdoors as much as possible with his wife. They enjoy camping and being out in the snow. Josh has two dogs and is planning on having kids within the next year.

Lam Koulavongsa is a Certified Volkswagen Technician, he has been working at Street Volkswagen since January of 2014. Lam was born in Laos but has lived in Amarillo for 20 years. He loves to spend time with his daughter when he isn’t at work. Lam drives a 2007 Scion tC and loves working on it. He has a Honda VTX 1800 motorcycle that he loves to ride on the weekends.

Nathan Subealdea is a Technician at Street Volkwagen of Amarillo. He has been with the company since December of 2015.

Brandon Mooney is a Street Volkswagen Technician. He has been working at Street since 2016. Brandon loves the Volkswagen brand and enjoys working on Volkswagen vehicles. He is also a big Star Wars fan. When Brandon isn’t at work he is with his family.

Ben Medina is a Pre-Owned Technician at Street Volkswagen. Ben has been working for the company since 2016. Ben loves helping people and making new friends. When Ben isn’t at work he is spending time with his wife and boys. He is a coach for his son’s baseball, football and soccer teams. Ben is a big football fan, but his loyalty is to the Dallas Cowboys. Ben is their biggest fan.

Heath Hoskinson is a Pre-Owned Technician. He has been a member of the Street Volkswagen Team since 2014 but has worked for the Street Auto Group for many years. Heath, or better known as “Hos” loves the outdoors and spends as much time as possible either hiking of fishing with his friends and family. He loves Halloween and the Dallas Cowboys.

Nick Meza is a Lot Porter at Street Volkswagen. He has been with the company since 2016.

Richard Fierro has been working for Street Volkswagen since 2013 when the store opened. He is an Express Technician who loves his job. He is very active in the community, can usually be found playing pool in a league, spending time with his band- Rudy Torres and the Heavy Duties where he plays the guitar, working on many different vehicles, or working out. He is also the captain and coach of the company’s softball team.

Hello my name is Ron Garverick and I have been with Street Volkswagen for about 3 months, and I will retire working here. Great group of people very positive and they think like I think. "don't sell a customer just one car, be there when ever they are in the market for the next one and the next one" I started in the car business in Oct of 2010 just as a regular salesman, I was worried because I thought like you the customer, Car Salemen were liars,cheaters, manipulators, just out for that BIG PAYING DEAL, but I gain to realize we all aren't the same. Sarah Powell is an Assistant BDC Manager at Street Volkswagen where she has been working since 2015. Sarah love anything that relates to comic books and the New York Yankees. Sarah is an avid runner, she can be seen running throughout the community in the afternoons. Sarah has a passion for Grumpy Cat and Doctor Who. She is currently learning Japanese. Sarah is originally from MS Gulf Coast and has a background in computers. Sarah is a huge fan of the Walking Dead.

Jade Moore is a BDC Agent and has been with the company since 2017.

Marcellina Putri is a BDC Agent at Street Volkswagen. She has been with the company since September of 2016. Marcellina was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, but has lived outside Jakarta since she was 17 years old. Marcellina studied in China as an undergrad for 5 years, and then moved to Canyon, Texas to attend WTAMU to earn a Master’s Degree in Communication. She has a Samoyed dog named Max, she loves meeting new people and taking trips. She is multilingual, she can speak English, Indonesian, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and French.

Melony Barnett is the Street Volkswagen Office Manager. She moved to Amarillo in May of 1984 and worked at her first dealership. Since then, she has always worked in the automotive industry. She has three kids and three grandkids. Melony was raised in the South Plains of Texas in a small town 30 miles east of Lubbock. Melony believes Street Volkswagen is the best

Beverly Butler has been working at Street Volkswagen since September 2013. Beverly wears many hats at Street Volkswagen, she is a receptionist, new title clerk and she stocks new cars into the system. However, this is her first time working in the automotive industry. She has previously worked at Wal-Mart and K-Mart as their Office Manager. Beverly loves working at Street Volkswagen because she interacts with many friendly people. When she isn’t at work, Beverly spends time with her grandkid or reading. Fun fact: She has over 1,000 books on her Nook and has about 20 boxes of actual books in her attic! One of her favorite authors is Catherine Coulter.

Cassie Owens is the Title Clerk and the Receptionist at Street Volkswagen. She has been working for the company since the first day back in 2013. When Cassie isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time with her sisters, mom, and dad. She is a Star Wars aficionado, she prefers the older movies though. She loves to go to the park with her dog, Euphie. Cassie also loves to read, her favorite books include the Harry Potter series.

Meagan Adams is a member of the Customer Care Team at Street Volkswagen. She loves making personal connections with her customers. When she isn’t working, she reads, writes, and spends time with her boyfriend and son. She is currently studying psychology to become a licensed professional counselor. She is a huge fan of Florence and the Machine, Harry Potter and the musical, Hamilton. Fun fact, she has a pet squirrel.

Meredith is a receptionist at Street Volkswagen.

Randi is a receptionist at Street Volkswagen.

Emily Williams is a Street Volkswagen Receptionist. She has been with the company since May of 2016. Emily enjoys interacting with customers and meeting new people. When Emily isn’t at work she is reading a good mystery book or painting. Emily is a photographer at heart, she loves landscape and portrait photography. Emily is currently a student at WTAMU where she is earning an ag-business degree. Emily hopes to travel a lot more in the future.

Harold Baker is a Street Volkswagen Concierge. He has been with the company since 2016. He is a retired truck driver. He enjoys hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

DeWayne Trimble is one of our concierges and has been with Street Volkswagen since August 2015. DeWayne retired from the Bureau of Mines Helium Operations which is a Federal government program. While there DeWayne served as Human Resources Director and as the Administrative Officer. He enjoys meeting new people and developing close relationships with all he works with here at Street Volkswagen. DeWayne was born in Wellington, Texas and lived in Borger and Pampa, Texas where he graduated from Pampa High School in 1965. He served in the US Army for a period of six years spending one tour in Korea. DeWayne attended Cameron University in Lawton, OK before relocating to Amarillo with his wife Tricia and their two children, Tony and Tonya. He loves spending time with his four grandchildren, playing golf, bowling and playing with his dog, KD. DeWayne’s passion is serving on the Missions Team at the Southwest Church of Christ and has been on several mission trips to the Philippines.
