On the exterior, the front bumper has been redesigned, and the new grille can be upgraded to include a light bar which adds illumination and gives the front end of the Volkswagen Taos a distinctive, bold look. Complimenting this, LED projector headlights are also now standard across the lineup, while a brightly illuminated VW badge at the rear clinches the modern aesthetic of this compact SUV. Drivers can also choose from an expanded list of exterior colors that now include three new attractive options: Bright Moss Green, Monterey Blue Pearl, and Monument Gray.
2025 Volkswagen Taos: Interior Updates
When inside the cabin, former and current VW Tiguan drivers will note that the dashboard has been revised to include an integrated floating eight-inch infotainment display. New materials and colors for the dash and interior are also available, with top-of-the-line SEL models getting leather seats in a new, stately dark blue. 2025 Volkswagen Taos: Performance Updates
Finally, the 2025 Volkswagen Taos features an updated version of the 1.5L EA211 turbocharged four-cylinder TSI® engine. This engine now outputs up to 174 hp instead of 158 hp, and a new eight-speed automatic transmission improves drivability on Dumas roads above and beyond what the previous seven-speed DSG® dual-clutch automatic provided.
